Austin Quidditch
A Little Slice of Heaven
Austin Quidditch (AQ) is the junior varsity club quidditch team for the University of Texas. Austin Quidditch competes in the Southwest region within the college division of the United States Quidditch (USQ). Each season the team travels to tournaments across Texas and throughout the country where they play other college club teams and compete to earn an invitation to the US Quidditch Cup; a two-day tournament that decides the national champion. Austin Quidditch is the only “B-team” to make it to the Sweet 16 during Nationals, beating teams that won championships in their region. We focus on growing your quidditch skills to be the best player you can be while making life-long friendships to really foster that team chemistry.

JC Mayo
Hello, I’m JC! I’m a junior from San Antonio, TX majoring in Human Biology and minoring in Kinesiology. I’ve played beater the last 2 years I’ve been in Longhorn Quidditch but also love playing the other positions (not that I’m good at them; they’re just fun). I’ve been a captain of both Austin Quidditch and Slytherdor (Slytherins ftw) and really love teaching people how Quidditch is played irl and fostering a family that truly cares about each other. I joined for the people and stayed for the life-long friendships. I’m looking forward to meeting all the newbies when we can, but hope y'all are staying safe for now!

Hey, I’m Laura! I'm a junior from San Antonio, double majoring in Chemistry and Geology. I’ve played chaser my last two years of Quidditch, but have been dabbling in playing beater and keeper as well. I’ve played on Slytherdor (I’m a raging Gryffindor) and AQ but this is my first year captaining For AQ and I’m looking forward to growing your understanding of quidditch. I joined quidditch because I’m a huge Harry Potter fan (I will absolutely compete in some HP trivia) and I met some people that I really connected with. I’m also pretty competitive and tackling people sounded pretty fun. I’m looking forward to meeting everybody and getting to know y’all!
